This cartridge is an alternative to the skirted LDFC 112mm x 103mm Type filter element and is not the original OEM product.

Unlike the original design, this version does not incorporate a skirt . Our design philosophy is based on minimising gaps and variations in media within bypass filtration systems, as these can reduce overall filtration efficiency.

By using a single-form construction with a precise, snug fit, this cartridge helps eliminate the risk of bypass, ensuring consistent and effective filtration performance.

This cartridge is fully compatible with Triple R units and delivers excellent filtration results.

The LDFC Cartridge fits the LDU Unit

  • Height: 112mm
  • Diameter: 103mm
  • Supplied with 1 x spare lid seal

Long fibre cellulose with single core, nylon covering and brass fastening.

🔹Oil doesn’t degrade on its own—it’s contamination that causes the damage.

Fine particles and moisture build up over time, leading to increased wear, reduced efficiency, and costly maintenance. The filter element is the critical component that determines how effectively your system removes these contaminants.

The Replacement Cartridge is engineered to deliver ultra-fine filtration and high water removal, ensuring your oil remains clean, protected, and in optimal condition for longer.

🔹 Where It’s Used

Designed for use within bypass filtration systems, this cartridge is suitable for:

  • Hydraulic systems
  • Engines and lubrication systems
  • Gearboxes and transmissions
  • Diesel fuel systems
  • Industrial and mobile equipment

🔹 How It Works

Unlike conventional filters that trap contaminants only on the surface, KLEENOIL cartridges use depth filtration technology.

  • Contaminated oil enters the core of the cartridge
  • Oil is forced through multiple layers of cellulose media
  • Particles are trapped throughout the media structure
  • Water is absorbed and retained within the fibres
  • Clean oil exits the cartridge and returns to the system

This process provides exceptional filtration efficiency and high dirt-holding capacity, maintaining oil cleanliness over extended operating periods.

🔹 Key Benefits

  • High-efficiency filtration
  • Removes particles down to 3 micron
  • Removes all water (free and emulsified)
  • High dirt-holding capacity for extended service life
  • Improves oil cleanliness and system reliability
  • Extends oil and equipment life

🔹 Performance & Construction

Manufactured using advanced materials, the cartridge combines performance with sustainability:

  • Filter Media: Long-fibre cellulose (biodegradable core)
  • Outer Wrap: Durable polyester support layer

The compact design allows installation within confined systems while maintaining high filtration performance.

🔹 Service & Maintenance

  • Recommended change interval: 250–500 hours (application dependent)
  • Simple replacement: Drop-in cartridge design
  • Shelf life: Up to 2 years (stored correctly)

Regular replacement ensures consistent filtration performance and optimal oil cleanliness.

🔹 Environmental Responsibility

The cartridge uses a biodegradable cellulose core, supporting environmentally responsible filtration.

Once used, the cartridge becomes oil-contaminated and should be disposed of via licensed waste or Waste-to-Energy (WTE) channels, in line with local regulations.

🔹 Filter Replacement (Quick & Clean Process)

Changing your KLEENOIL cartridge is a simple and clean process, designed for minimal mess and quick servicing.

  1. Remove the lid
Undo the retaining bolt and keep safe for refitting.
  2. Prepare the new cartridge
Unpack the new filter and keep the protective bag aside—you’ll use this for removal of the old element.
  3. Remove the used filter (cleanly)
Place the bag over the filter housing, reach in, and lift the used cartridge out using the brass ring.
Carefully turn the bag over the filter and seal it to contain oil residue for clean handling.
  4. Check and clean the lid
Wipe the lid with a clean cloth and remove the old lid seal.
Replace with the new seal, ensuring the sealing surface is clean and free from debris.
  5. Install the new filter
Insert the new cartridge with the brass ring facing upwards, pushing it fully into position.
  6. Refit and secure
Replace the lid and tighten the bolt to ensure a secure seal.
  7. Run and check
Start the system and allow it to run for a few minutes.
Check the lid area to confirm there are no leaks and the seal is effective.
  8. Dispose responsibly
Dispose of the used cartridge in accordance with local regulations for oil-contaminated waste.
