KLEENOIL UK doesn’t just send results—we help you understand them.

KLEENOIL offers a professional oil analysis service in collaboration with the Finnings laboratory. A prepaid sampling kit is delivered directly to your location, enabling straightforward on-site sampling with return via prepaid packaging.

  • The KLEENOIL Standard Oil Sample Kit is a simple, professional pre-paid oil analysis service, designed to give you a clear understanding of your oil condition without the need for site visits or specialist equipment.

The kit is delivered directly to you, allowing you to take your own sample and send it straight to the laboratory for expert analysis—quickly, cleanly, and efficiently.

    🔹 How It Works

    Using the kit is straightforward:

    1. Receive your kit (sent directly to your site)
    2. Take your oil sample from your machine, tank, or system
    3. Complete the labels and form provided
    4. Seal the sample in the supplied packaging
    5. Post it in any local postbox using the prepaid envelope

Once received, the laboratory will analyse your sample within 5–7 working days.

The full report is then sent to KLEENOIL, where we:

    • Review the results
    • Provide a clear, easy-to-understand summary
    • Forward everything directly to you with our expert interpretation

🔹 What the Report Tells You

Your oil analysis report provides a detailed breakdown of your oil condition, helping you make informed maintenance decisions.

    🧪 Oil Condition & Performance

    • Viscosity – Confirms whether the oil is maintaining correct thickness and performance
    • Viscosity Index – Indicates how stable the oil is across temperature changes
    • Total Acid Number (TAN) – Shows oil degradation and ageing
    • Water Content – Identifies moisture contamination levels

These results help determine whether your oil is still fit for use or beginning to degrade.

    🔬 Cleanliness & Contamination

    • ISO Cleanliness Code (e.g. 18/16/12) – Measures how clean or dirty the oil is
    • Particle Counts (µm levels) – Identifies contamination size and severity
    • PQ Index – Indicates presence of ferrous (metal) debris
    • Silicon, Sodium, Potassium – Detect dirt ingress or contamination sources

This section highlights how clean your oil really is—and whether action is needed.

    ⚙️ Wear Metals Analysis

    • Metals such as Iron, Copper, Chromium, Aluminium
    • Indicates internal component wear within your machinery

Rising wear metals can provide early warning of potential failures—before breakdown occurs.

    ➕ Additives & Oil Health

    • Elements such as Zinc, Phosphorus, Calcium
    • Confirms whether the oil’s protective additives are still active

This helps assess whether the oil is still performing as intended.

    🚦 Simple Traffic Light Summary

Each report includes a clear condition rating:

    • A (Green): No action required
    • B (Amber): Monitor condition
    • C (Orange): Action required
    • X (Red): Immediate action required

Alongside this, the lab provides a written diagnosis—for example:
“No cause for concern – continue monitoring at next sample.”
